Signature Events

Speaker Dinner

This annual event brings our membership together for an intimate evening with a speaker from within the Variety community. Tickets are limited and this is a favourite event among members. It is a great chance to enjoy an engaging presenter while dining in the company of friends.

PIMM's Classic Lawn Bowls

Break out your whites! This yearly event is held in late summer at the Vancouver Lawn Bowls Club in Queen Elizabeth Park. Our bar features refreshing PIMM's cocktails, and there is a loose tournament format. Last year DJ Golden Touch did an excellent job of getting everyone moving, and we anticipate her back next year. Get your tickets early and remember do dress the part. We have prizes for the best dressed bowler as well as for the highest scoring team.

Day at the Races

Interested in fun, excitement, and funny hats? Then join Urban Variety in June for their annual Day at the Races. This event is held at the historic Hastings Racetrack, where guests enjoy a catered lunch, betting instructions, and sweeping vistas of the North Shore Mountains from our own private patio. Although this year's event had some big (and not so big) winners, everyone came out a victorious with ticket proceeds benefiting Variety - The Children's Charity.
